These deviations have demonstrated true GARness and have forever earned their place in the Annals of Manly Cosplay!
Joining: To join the group, you can either just Watch the group, become a Member (that makes it easier for you to submit Deviations into the galleriers) or become a Purveyor of Manliness (Contributor) who have much more control over the galleries and submissions, and are allowed to vote on new Admin members and Affiliations. SUBMISSIONS The criteria for accepting Deviations to the group is as follows: Cosplay: Apart from the Inspiration gallery, all deviations featured in this Group need to show a photograph of a cosplayer. Manliness: if the photo is clearly unmanly and effeminate and wimpy, it will be turned down without mercy and banished into the Infernal Realms of pink ponies and double rainbows. ‘Nuff said. Photographic quality: we will not be exceptionally picky, but photographs submitted to the group need to be clear and sharp enough that the viewer can recognize the subject matter. The higher the quality of the photo, the more likely it is to make its way to the fabled “Manliest of the Manly” Gallery, that features the manliest deviations we could find. So what makes a Deviation manly? Manliness does NOT necessarily mean muscles –you can even be thin as a reed and still be manly. While mullets, stubbles and chest hair helps, a good cosplay picture of Kamina can certainly be very manly. Attitude, confidence and expressions all can convey manliness! So can blood. Lots of blood. LOTS AND LOTS of Blood. Nor does the cosplayer need to be male. If a crossplay is extremely manly, it can be included in our galleries!
It is a Dark Time. The cosplay galleries of dA are dominated by bishounen princes, men who never need to shave, and male cosplayers in pink frillly tutus and more hair product than an entire beauty pageant. Skeletal boys with sunken eyes and stick-thin arms leer from the dAs cosplay galleries at the unsuspecting viewers. In this darkness, the masses cry out for a savior. But there is hope. There is the last ray of light. There is one place where guns and GAR, mullets and muscles still hold sway against the invaders. There are still men who can grow a stubble. There are cosplayers whose Immortal Shadow makes the girly-men tremble. Welcome to ManlyCosplay. *DISCLAIMER: not to be taken too seriously.
